Summary

Anti-virus software protects your computer and LMC's networks from viruses, spyware, ransom-ware and other malicious software. Anti-Virus software scans your computer's applications, programs, and files to known viruses, worms, and other types of malware. New viruses and malware are constantly being created so your anti-virus software requires constant virus definition updates. Your anti-virus software on your computer should have auto-updates turned on by default and if it is not or you are unsure, we recommend you check your anti-virus settings.  

LMC Owned Devices

LMC-owned devices are protected by SOPHOS Anti-Virus.  If you feel that your LMC-owned device may have a virus, please submit an incident report to the LMC IT Service Desk.

If you are a student and do not have a personal Anti-Virus protection the IT Service Desk recommends downloading the following programs:

• For Windows Computers: Malwarebytes for PC
• For Mac Comptuers: Malwarebytes for MAC
